Quite literally, the Macedon Ranges is the artist mecca of Victoria.
You will find them beavering away in niche shops, galleries, artists’ studios and bungalows of our region, giving shape to creative projects that fill the senses and feed the souls of all who decide to step in and have a browse.

Kyneton Museum
If you’re a history buff, then a visit to the Kyneton Museum on Piper Street is a must.
The Museum Collection is housed in a Heritage Victoria-listed building that was built in 1856 as a Bank of New South Wales.
There are changing exhibitions in the original banking chamber, and upstairs the bank manager’s residence is preserved in time.
Outdoor exhibits include original bluestone stables, servant’s kitchen, laundry and Theaden Cottage. The Museum is also home to a wide variety of carriages and historical agricultural equipment.
