Farmers markets are held in a different village each weekend, including Riddells Creek, Lancefield, Woodend, Kyneton, Macedon and Malmsbury.

Kyneton and Malmsbury
In Kyneton, check out the wonderful Watts Fresh on Mollison Street for the most amazing deli goods and fresh produce.

Here you will find everything you need for the ultimate gourmet picnic, from homemade terrines to traditional pork pies.
Banks Fine Wine and Animus Distillery both stock fantastic local wine, or nip into Kyneton’s urban winery and cellar door, Musk Lane Wine, for a cheeky tasting and takeaway bottle.

Macedon, Mount Macedon and Woodend
For tasty picnic treats in Mount Macedon, drop into the Mt Macedon Trading Post Cafe. Choose from pies and quiches, sandwiches and homemade cookies. Or drop by The Lazy Baker for a classic country pie in Macedon.
In Woodend, folk can’t go past good ol’ Bourkies Bakehouse for a pie and vanilla slice. The Woodend Wine Store is where it’s all at when it comes to selecting a beautiful local wine to go with your picnic.
Lancefield, Gisborne and Riddells Creek
The Lancefield Provedore is a great spot to pick up treats for a local picnic. Or drop by the classic Lancefield Bakery. In Gisborne, you can’t go past goodies from 3 Little Pigs and for pastries swing by the Riddells Creek Bakery.

Travel by train to Malmsbury
Catch the V/Line train to the quaint station of Malmsbury, only a short walk to the beautiful Malmsbury Botanic Gardens and old bluestone viaduct. Enjoy a picnic and a visit to the local pub.
