Intergenerational Folk Dancing Event, Sunday 23rd April
U3A Kyneton is pleased to announce a free Intergenerational Folk Dance Event at the Kyneton Mechanics Institute Hall, 81 Mollison Street on Sunday 23rd April from 3 – 4.30 pm. This event is open to all residents of the Macedon Ranges. Everyone is welcome.
The MRSC have kindly provided us with funds to host a LIVE BAND for a fun-filled folk-dance afternoon. The musicians are coming together specifically for this event but have previously been members of the world-renowned Shenanigans. No dance experience is required and if your knees or other body parts aren’t up to it, then you can sit and enjoy the music. Dances will be from Israel, Macedonia, the United Kingdom, Greece, and more. Mostly done in circles or pairs, the dances will be simple and social.
Bring your children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. This will be a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get together and have some fun. The more the merrier! Please ensure you wear appropriate shoes and bring water.
To assist us with numbers, if you plan to attend please email u3akyneton@gmail.com with your name, and how many people you expect will be attending with you. Exact numbers aren’t required.
We look forward to seeing you there.
